SUMMARY:Security Actors in Interaction – Civil-Military Cooperation in the Current Situation
DESCRIPTION:Current security policy developments illustrate how important coordinated cooperation between civilian and military actors is for effective overall defence. The seminar offers a well-founded overview of the structures\, legal foundations and operational challenges of civil-military cooperation in Germany. \nThe focus is on the framework guidelines for overall defence and the operational plan in Germany\, the legal framework for the police – including emergency and seizure laws as well as questions of combatant status – and the consideration of hybrid threats from a military and security authority perspective. Practice-oriented contributions shed light on scenarios of conflict development\, demands on the police in the context of civil defence and specific fields of cooperation – such as cooperation between military troops and police\, transport measures in crisis situations and the protection of critical infrastructures. The programme is supplemented by insights into civil alarm planning and the work of aid organisations such as the German Red Cross and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief. \nThe seminar is aimed at members of the police\, public order authorities and other security institutions who want to deepen their knowledge of the structures\, processes and legal foundations of overall defence and better understand practical cooperation in the event of a crisis and defence.

SUMMARY:Developing Stress Intelligence – Strengthening Competencies: Help through Stress Management (Module I)
DESCRIPTION:Faster\, better\, more flexible – the demands of the profession often demand a maximum from working people and present them with the challenges of withstanding the stresses\, performing and at the same time using their resources in such a way that they remain mentally and physically healthy. Many people know the feeling of only being challenged\, both professionally and privately. In this prevention program\, it is important to recognize\, understand and analyze this process for oneself in order to stop it or\, better yet\, avoid it. In the seminar\, one’s own sources of stress are identified\, stress skills are strengthened and alternative courses of action are developed. Preventive stress and health promotion is not a therapy\, but a way of thinking and acting that can be learned. It’s about balance\, the balance between tension and relaxation\, activity and rest\, which is all too often disturbed these days. \nThe aim is to achieve a better quality of life and to strengthen confidence in one’s own coping potential with greater room for manoeuvre. To this end\, scientifically recognised information and techniques are imparted and applied\, which make it possible to remain safe\, relaxed and calmly competent to act even under stress.
